- A hydraulic filter is a component within a hydraulic system that helps to remove contaminant particles by forcing hydraulic fluid through porous filter elements. The filter elements catch the dirt and prevent them from re-entering into the fluid and also protect other parts of the equipment and reduced downtime of the system.
